The appearance of rural settlements has been based on natural factors such as soil and water. Natural factors have a decisive effect on location, dispersion, range of influence, physical development, morphology, and the like, and these factors sometimes act as a positive factor and sometimes as a negative factor. The purpose of this study is the status of rural settlements in Firoozabad city in relation to natural factors. The statistical population includes rural settlements of Firoozabad city. This city has two parts and 5 rural districts. The method studied in this research is the fuzzy TOPSIS method, which is one of the best decision-making methods based on fuzzy variables. The information used includes altitude, slope, direction, climate, vegetation, soil, erosion, land use, which have been analyzed in GIS environment. Findings show that the central part with the most villages has the weakest performance compared to natural factors and Ahmadabad rural district is in the first place with 95% The second part of the city is related to a part of Meymand that has performed better in terms of natural factors so that most of the villages in the city are in a better condition in this part. In general, rural settlements in the north and northwest of Firoozabad are in a better situation. While the situation of rural settlements in the southern and central parts of the city is unsuitable. Be in an awkward position. Therefore, it demands that the potential and capacity of rural settlements in the city be well studied and in proportion to the existing talents in the region, to introduce, plan and implement alternative livelihood programs for the agro-livestock economy that is currently and has destroyed this situation.

Production of agricultural products as an effective part in the development of the country in various dimensions is of great importance; However, considering the waste of production of these products in the country, which according to statistics is more than 30% of total production, it seems necessary to change production methods by aligning farmers and villagers to use new production technologies by them through communication solutions. Participate in urgent action. The statistical population of this study was the promoters working in Khorasan Razavi agricultural jihad and extension assistants related to the agricultural jihad of the province. Based on non-probability sampling, the sample population was selected as described. The "qualitative" and "quantitative" methods used in this research are as follows: At first, in the "qualitative" method, through "in-depth interviews", 15 agricultural workers in the villages of Mashhad were interviewed and the answers provided by the software Maxqda was analyzed and based on these results, the measurement tool was designed with 40 items and 220 agricultural promoters across the province were asked to respond and then the results were analyzed using SPSS software. The purpose of this study is to obtain a model to explain the impact of participatory communication on the use of new production technologies among farmers. All 8 hypotheses in this study were tested and confirmed using variance test and one-way analysis of variance, and finally, using linear regression, the effect of variables was confirmed. It is suggested that agricultural promoters use the knowledge and tools of participatory communication to align farmers to use new production technologies.

In order to participate in the watershed plans, the effective factors should be considered. The study aimed at investigating the role of villagers' attitudes to watershed plans on their participation (Case study: Saeed abad Kiasar Watershed). This study is a practical research that do in the form of correlation-descriptive method. Statistical population comprised head of families (N= 343) from saeedabad watershed basin. The sample size was calculated using the Cochran formula in an attempt to recruit 157 individuals as prospective participants. The stratified random sampling was employed in this study. A questionnaire was used to collect data; its validity was confirmed by experts and scholars. Cronbach's alpha was reported between 0.75-0.89 for the questionnaire. The average number of times in training courses has been 1 times. The average participation of villagers in watershed plans and attitude were at a high level. The regression analysis showed that 29 percent participation variance was explained by attitude. According to the achieved results of the research, It is recommended that by carefully planning and creating a favorable attitude in villagers, their participation in the design, implementation and evaluation of watershed plans can be used.
