Evaluating the ecological and economic potential is an effective step and a suitable tool to guide the current activities and uses in the land towards comprehensive management and sustainable rural development. Identifying and evaluating the potentials of each region is a guide for achieving development in sync with nature in rural areas dependent on nature. In this study, the economic value of forage production in Rangelands of ChaharBagh village of Golestan province was investigated.Typing the vegetation cover of the region by going to the desired area and field survey and also with the help of the topographical map of the region and also by using the plan to recognize the ecological regions of the country and based on the specified floristic-physionomic classification method and sampling of each plant type. It was done randomly and systematically.6 plant types were identified in the study area. The results of the study showed that the total forage production in the pastures of Chaharbagh village is equal to 6203605 kilograms of dry forage and available fodder (sustainable forage) is equal to 1763925 kilograms. The economic value of the total forage produced in the pastures of Chaharbagh village is equal to 52,284,110,52 riyals, and the total economic value of the available forage of these pastures is estimated to be 11,904,012,960 riyals. The capacity of the total number of livestock units with efficiency and economic value was 4749 heads, and the total annual profit was estimated at 12,760,821,000 rials; therefore, the added value of animal husbandry in the studied pasture is equal to 040,747,917 rials.

Appropriate use of non-conventional water resources including surface runoff and sewage is produced an issue that has emerged as a necessity particularly in Iran. This thread has been created specifically in Tehran. The current study was aimed to investigate the economic value of sewage at Agricultural Sector in South of Tehran with produced approach in the contaminated and clean area. From the results, the average yield of wheat production among the farmers from polluted water was 376 kg ha-1 more than farmers who used clean water. Moreover, the economic value of water was 110 Rials more than farmers who used clean water. According to the results, the total value of wastewater in Tehran in 1405 would be equivalent to 335,480 million Rials. The priorities for interests of irrigation using wastewater from an agricultural perspective suggests that availability and reliability of wastewater than other water sources and low cost of its use is the most important benefit. The next priority result of irrigation with wastewater is increasing crop yield and improving soil fertility. This explains why farmers despite the legal prohibition of the use of untreated sewage continue to utilize this source of irrigation water.

This study estimates water economic value in production of potato in 2011-12, using parametric method of production function. Data have been collected through questionnaires. Research sample includes 208 farmers and landowners in the Koredestan and Hamedan provinces, based on Cochran formula and two stage cluster sampling. In order to select the suitable function, several flexible and non-flexible functions has been checked that results indicate Cobb-Douglas production function acts better than the other tested functions. Elasticity of derived water demand for Potato crops estimated -1/95 which shows policy prices can be important factor to control water utilization. Economic value for each cubic meters of water for producing potato is estimated to be 2348.7 Rail, which it is less than its current price (1203.4 Rials). So, it suggests that in order to save water use in potato production, water value approximate to its market value.
