The development of the use of natural and biological inputs to achieve sustainable rice cultivation seems to be essential, and rice farmers must be prepared to accept sustainable and organic rice. Creating a positive attitude among rice growers about the biological inputs of rice is of paramount importance. The purpose of this study was structural equation modeling of biological inputs acceptance by sari rice farmers. All rice farmers in Sari County (24502 individuals) were selected as the statistical population of the study, and 336 of them were selected as the study sample based on Cochran's formula and with random sampling method. Data collection was performed using a researcher-made questionnaire. Also, based on the average variance extracted (0.692 >AVE< 0.91) and composite reliability (0.969 >CR < 0.993), the questionnaire had a convergent validity and appropriate reliability. SPSS16 and Smart PLS2 software were used to analyze the data. The results showed that educational characteristics (with path coefficient 0.453), information characteristics (with path coefficient 0.355), social characteristics (with path coefficient 0.117), and attitude towards biological inputs (with path coefficient 0.084) had a significant positive effect on acceptance of biological inputs (p < 0.01) and 99 percent of the variance of biological input acceptance was determined by these variables. It is suggested that due to the unfavorable attitude of rice farmers towards biological inputs, rice farmers should be informed about the role of biological inputs in crop, water, soil and human health. It is better to use knowledgeable rice farmers in this regard to train other rice farmers.

The role of agricultural extension and extension agents in increasing the gardener's ability, especially the way water management and the use of new irrigation methods, are felt more than ever. In this regard, this study aimed at investigating the role of extension activities on drip irrigation acceptance by gardeners in Qaemshahr County, Mazandaran Province. 20299 members of gardeners were selected as the statistical population of the study, and 248 of whom were selected as the study sample based on Cochran's formula and with random sampling method. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire composed of two parts of extension (Gardener's attitudes towards extension training activities, the status of providing education, the amount of innovations and technologies, the amount of communication channels used) and rate of drip irrigation acceptance. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts' opinions. Also, based on the average variance extracted (0.515 >AVE< 0.718) and composite reliability (0.913 >CR < 0.985), the questionnaire had a convergent validity and appropriate reliability. SPSS16 and Smart PLS2 software were used to analyze the data. The achieved results of the research showed that extension had a significant impact on the rate of drip irrigation acceptance by gardeners (With path coefficient= 0.616). According to the achieved results of the research, It is recommended that by carefully planning, the potential of agricultural extension for accepting drip irrigation and the effective use of agricultural water be used.

In order to participate in the watershed plans, the effective factors should be considered. The study aimed at investigating the role of villagers' attitudes to watershed plans on their participation (Case study: Saeed abad Kiasar Watershed). This study is a practical research that do in the form of correlation-descriptive method. Statistical population comprised head of families (N= 343) from saeedabad watershed basin. The sample size was calculated using the Cochran formula in an attempt to recruit 157 individuals as prospective participants. The stratified random sampling was employed in this study. A questionnaire was used to collect data; its validity was confirmed by experts and scholars. Cronbach's alpha was reported between 0.75-0.89 for the questionnaire. The average number of times in training courses has been 1 times. The average participation of villagers in watershed plans and attitude were at a high level. The regression analysis showed that 29 percent participation variance was explained by attitude. According to the achieved results of the research, It is recommended that by carefully planning and creating a favorable attitude in villagers, their participation in the design, implementation and evaluation of watershed plans can be used.
